As part of our Tax Services Team, Tax Managers in this position will:
- Assist clients with year-end adjustments
- Prepare tax projections and research tax issues to help clients meet their goals
- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations
- Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
- Provide innovative tax planning and advisory services
- Review complex income tax returns
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance
- Manage tax provision and tax compliance processes
- Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
- Maintain tax balances on general ledger
Candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related major
- 5+ years of tax and accounting experience
- CPA required
The best candidates for this position will have experience with:
- Proficient knowledge of federal and state tax law related to individuals, businesses, estates, trusts
- Proficiency with trial balance adjustments, accrual to cash conversions, and tax journal entries
- Ability to supervise, delegate, and train tax staff and review their work
- Experience working with high net worth individuals and businesses
- Ability to deliver exceptional client service
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
- Multi-state experience
- General ledger experience
- Local tax experience a plus
- Supervisory experience
