Rusty has diverse public accounting experience in auditing, accounting, consulting, and taxation, both in the public and private sector. He started his accounting career in London, England in 1976, with one of the largest international public accounting firms. After moving to Alexandria, Virginia in 1979, he practiced with large local and regional firms until forming his own practice in December 2005. In late 2022, with the intent to retire, he merged his practice with Renner and Company and remains with the firm to ensure a smooth transition of his former clients.
