Renner and Company is proud to announce that it has acquired the client list of William J. Sault, CPA, LLC, whose practice has been based out of Rockville, Maryland, for more than 27 years.
Mr. Sault’s practice has focused primarily on taxation of individuals, businesses and trusts. He had been referring clients to Renner over the past several years that had met with considerable success.
“We’ve had really good success … the transition has been really good on the clients he has referred to us,” said Andrew E. Young, managing shareholder at Renner and Company. “So we felt it was a natural transition. His client base (aligned well) with our firm philosophy and our firm structure.”
Mr. Sault decided it was time for him to change the model of his practice from providing services as a sole CPA to a model where a larger group of CPAs assist his clients.
“This will allow me to retire knowing I have left (my clients) in good competent hands,” Mr. Sault said.
Mr. Sault said the clients that he had referred to Renner had been “overwhelmingly happy” with the transition, and so he decided it was prudent for Renner and Company to acquire his practice, effective on January 4, 2024.
Mr. Sault will be working with the Renner team over the next several months to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible.
As Renner and Company enters tax season, it will work to integrate all of the Sault clients and carry on the same standard of service that his clients have come to expect.
“It’s another thrilling chapter of the firm and an opportunity to continue to build our presence in the Metro D.C. area as a market leader,” Mr. Young said. “This shows that we are a growing and vibrant force in the market. We go after growth opportunities, and it just reaffirms how valuable we are.”
