As part of our Audit Services Team, Audit Managers in this position will:

  • Supervise Staff and In-Charge Auditors
  • Assume responsibility for performing and completing audit engagements for review by engagement partner
  • Test and document complex audit areas and review workpapers prepared by Staff Auditors
  • Assist in the finalization of workpapers for engagements
  • Review various returns prepared by Audit Staff
  • Communicating between clients and the firm to ensure engagement objectives are met by all parties
  • Facilitate resolutions on complex audit and accounting issues
  • Be a trusted advisor to a client and begins to identify opportunities for expanded services
  • Develop client relationships and business opportunities
  • Other duties as necessary

 

Candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a public accounting firm
  • CPA license
  • A Master’s degree is preferred

 

The best candidates for this position will have experience with:

  • Assurance leadership, guidance or supervisory experience is required
  • Advanced understanding of accounting (GAAP) and assurance (GAAS) procedures and standards
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, motivate, and train audit staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites
  • Ability to multi-task since planning, executing, and wrapping up various engagements may have to be performed concurrently
  • Skills should include organization, communication, technical, time management, and accounting and auditing as you work effectively with clients and adequately handle multiple engagements and teams
  • Experience supervising engagement team members and instructing them on completing assigned task
  • Adhere to the firm’s values and code of conduct
  • Ability to build long-lasting client relationships based on trust and respect
